I'm a German-born Brooklyn mom, a writer, blogger, a bit of a foodie, dog lover, skiier, compulsive beach bum, major jazz fan and family chef. I've worked as art therapist, in publishing, marketing and PR, and I grew up in Morocco, Haiti, the US, and the EU. If you had asked me when I was growing up what I wanted to become I would have said without hesitation: a jockey. I can laugh pretty hard. I'm pretty sure my kid is a genius, and this worries me. I worry about a lot of stuff none of which I think actually matters. I read a lot. The last three books I read which I highly recommend are The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, by Junot Diaz; Divisadero, by Michael Ondaatje; and Chronicle of a Death Foretold, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez . Someday, I hope to hang glide in the alps, finish my novel, own a hammock, and move to the seashore.
